Amazing Talents

Amazing Talents

Mar 03, 2025

Have you ever considered the amazing talents of your friends and new acquaintances? Lately, the truth grabbed my heart. Many of my goals and dreams would never become reality without the brilliant God-given talents of my friends. Let me introduce you to some very special people.

Meet Allen Taylor, MHA, BSN, RN who is

my professional webmaster.

An expert critical care nurse who worked in ER, Cath Lab, and ICU/STICU, Home Health and Case Management. A volunteer firefighter, devoted husband and father, he easily fashions my email newsletters, adding and embedding my recipes and blogs. If you thought I did all of that myself, please remember I am an old lady!
Allen helped me develop my course Loss: One common Thread. He is also working with me to create a series of Quick Reference books for nursing students. Of course we will start with the heart. Working with this guy is such a blessing. The best thing is I can call him my friend.

Then there is Dr. Lana Wynn Scroggins.

She is the only human I have ever know who holds a PhD in IT. When God dished out brilliance she got a hefty portion! She is a multi-talented author, publisher consultant, and storyteller with a heart to help other authors share their stories. Check out all of her children's books, devotional guides, and memoirs on Amazon. She works tirelessly on collaborative projects with multiple authors, including me.
When Allen Taylor let me know that many of you love to download my recipes, I asked Lana if she could make me a cookbook of these recipes and some of my blog stories. She got right to work and look what will be coming soon to Amazon:

Many of you know that I just did a series with Faith and Emmanuel from Nigeria. That whole experience amazed me. If you have read my book, A Life Just Like Mine and may want to hear some additional back stories of people from my life.

Listen to The Christian Readers Community Podcast by Faith Ijiga.

There are five sessions in this series on Narcissism.

  1. Origin, Causes, & Behavioral Patterns
  2. Relationship Reality Review
  3. Turning Victim to Victor: Regaining Self-worth through God's Promises
  4. Gaslighting: The 5 Cs from a Narcissist's Playbook
  5. Leaving with Grace: Finding Strength to Walk Away from Abusive Relationships

I am again amazed at the talents of so many people. What you don't know about my friend Faith is that she is visually impaired from a childhood eye surgery. Yet look at her life. A Christian author who highlights other authors with an intent to deliver messages of hope to her listeners. And I can't begin to speak of the amazing talent of her producer Emmanuel. We recorded in the evening in Indiana and in the wee hours of the morning in Nigeria. Don't ask me how!
Just today I met another.

Amazing Talented Podcast Host, Pastor Robert Thibodeau.

Read about his life and how God has called him to a variety of ministries. His latest endeavor is to match up Podcast Hosts and Guests to help educate, promote, and support authors and ministry leaders. Podcasters looking for guests or guests looking for podcasters can visit: https://faithcastersconnections.substack.com

Our session will be broadcast on Monday, March 17, 2025 on the

Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast. Pastor Bob has a wonderful engaging personality.

These are just a few of my friends with amazing talents. I am sure that you can look at your life and you will find the same thing I did.

We don't have to know everything.

We just need to know the people with the amazing talents we lack.
God blesses each of us with something meant to share with one another.
You have talents too. Share them with those who need you most.
Know your own strengths and realize someone near you probably has the talent you are missing.
Don't be afraid to find them, love them, and hire them.
Truly our dreams and goals will only become reality when amazing talents come together. I thank God for my friends, new and old, and those I will meet tomorrow. Find time to thank those who help us reach our goals and see our dreams come true. Thank you everyone and you know who you are!
As we get ready to march forward in March, let's do it with amazing friends.

God bless you all,
Dr. Donna
