Creamy Slaw, Tators N Ham, & More

Slaw is like a good friend. It can spark conversation, get along great with others, and dress up for dinner with a sweet or sour kick. This month a creamy sweetened slaw recipe comes from my friend Ann. I confess, I don’t always measure ingredients. I used to cook with a friend, and whenever I revised a recipe, I more than ruffled her feathers. She gave me heck. Of course, I never scribbled down what I added or subtracted so we never could replicate some of the greatest culinary creations. Perhaps instead of creations, experiments may provide a more accurate description!

I do confess to adding little cucumbers and grape tomatoes to mine.

Check out your refrigerator and see if you have about three near-empty jam jars hanging out. It seems that last little bit just needs to be used up so you can buy new jam. We had cherry preserves, orange marmalade, blackberry, and strawberry. And we always have pecans and walnuts in bags in the freezer.

My husband would die if the doctor ever told him to quit eating nuts.

We have so many choices these days. I am always trying to find something new when I do a bazaar. So many people love chocolate!
