Are you a collector? When I ask myself that question, I shake my head, wrinkle my nose and say, "Not me." Am I only kidding myself? What do you think?

Can you see a pattern? I love books. Especially cookbooks!

So when we went to Nashville, Indiana, I bought a couple new books from Georgia kitchens and found some wonderful recipes to share with you.

These date and walnut bars are so moist and delicious. Instead of making tiny bars, I made this recipe like a nut bread. So if you do that, you may need to increase the cooking time. As usual I used so much less sugar, for the dates are so sweet.

Lemon bars will be a keeper. Best part is that it doesn't make too many, so you won't over indulge! I used fresh lemon juice and also added some lemon zest. One of the best gifts my son ever bought me was my zester grater. If you don't have one, get one!

Do you ever make 15 bean soup from dry beans? It's really easy and so high in fiber. I soaked the beans over night and just followed the directions on the bean bag. I love adding diced tomatoes and ham. I just made some homemade French bread and it is so good toasted with this soup. The weather changed, as it so often does in Indiana, and it got cold. It's in the low sixties today. Hot soup is the perfect way to stay warm.

I hope you have a wonderful month. Enjoy the recipes. I love giving you things for free. Send me pictures and some of your favorites and I will happily share them. Especially since I have so very few recipe books to choose from!
