Remember Me
Do you cry often? There were years in my life when I did. But lately, I am usually content with my life. However, I do cry when people remember me.
I was a vendor at the Kunstfest and a friend I hadn't seen in years showed up.

In I Never Walk the Halls Alone, I explain how God often is "My Paul Harvey God" when he lets me know the rest of the story. I worked a Christian retreat when Kelly came up to me and said, "I remember you."
Her story is on page thirty-one. Her husband was the man who got kicked in the chest by a horse. About twenty years ago, we shared a lot of tears, and now a lot of joy.
At the same bazaar, a women approached in a wheelchair, surrounded by her loving
children and grandchildren. She had bought my book, A Life Just like Mine the year before. She read this story:
Once while I was visiting my grandparents, when I was nine, their dog, Betsy, chewed up and ruined my favorite book, To Dance, To Dream. I tried to salvage my book, but I had to throw it away. As hard as it is, sometimes dreams have to go, too.
She handed me a gift bag with this precious present and sweet note.

And I cried. Being remembered overwhelms me. And I am sure it does the same to you and those you love.
Consider taking action to the challenge in the email. Remember those who have shared kindness and made a difference in your life. Give them a reason to cry, knowing you remember them fondly.

This will be so special as you remember your teachers, elderly aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for all the memories.
Know I remember you!
God bless you this season. He is a God of memory. He loves everyone of us as if there were only one of us!
Your sister,
