Normal Sinus Rhythm has a P you see, for every QRS.

An upright rounded T wave, regular rate between 60 to 100 beats.

Sinus Arrhythmia has the same details but rhythm:  Irregular.

Faster breathing in, slower breathing out

NO symptoms, interventions, or distress.

But Sinus Bradycardia the rate is slow.

Looks like Normal Sinus but the rate is less than 60 and some symptoms may show.

Hypotension, chest pain, dyspnea, and mental status change.

Stop blockers, give IV atropine, pacemaker can be arranged!

Fever, exercise, MI, anemia can evoke – Sinus Tach.

Stress, caffeine, cold remedies can raise the rate above 100 beats.

Assess for hypotension, dyspnea, or pain.

Treat the underlying cause,

Achieve a normal rate, keep the patient safe

Reduce O2 consumption of the heart.

Atrial fibrillation, P waves have disappeared.

Ectopic rebel fire with rates above 300

Risk for Stroke is real.

Caused by CABG, alcohol, or valve disease

Thin the blood, use beta-blockers,
